9/23/07 - New site and SONGS on the way shortly, big changes here......things out there are very different than when this site was built.....

5/3/06 - The Distance has shown up on iTunes finally!! - That took some doing I guess but it works so if you're into downloads more than CD's, I have both CD's in the digital world now....

Just got back from Peru and Ecuador with C C, had a blast and added a coupla new countries to my list. I must say I really liked Ecuador but was a little less enthused with Peru, although it was great to go there and the C C fans were awesome!! It's always a good time with that band, good people and good times....

11/29/05 - Oops....again.

This should be the first page I update and it's always the last....I suck.

OK, here's the news....Christian's CD is out and I'm very pleased with the outcome (I co-produced it with Christian), it's a great CD and you should check it out - Christian at MySpace.

STILL is also now on MySpace - go by and add STILL to your friends!

The STILL CD "I don't mind" is now on iTunes, and "The Distance" will be shortly, welcome to the new world eh? It's pretty handy I must admit, and I think it's very cool to be able to buy only the songs you want.....

I've been playing with Christopher Cross subbing for a friend quite a bit these days, I play bass and acoustic guitar and sing backup vocals with Christopher, it's really fun and he and his band are great people to work with! We just went to Japan, AWESOME, I had never been......

That's the quick version, obviously I've been very busy of late, but I'm really committed to doing the long threatened solo version CD, as well as a new STILL CD that will be a full fleshed out band sound again.....and watch out, I might even do a country CD that has some of my old stuff in that vibe, you'd be surprised how well that works.....and I have to admit I like what has been called new country - (Hal Ketchum, James House, Keith Urban, Big House, etc etc...) anyways, I'm back to it!!

9/24/2004 - Oops.

Been awhile eh?

OK quick version- Bought a house outside of L.A. about an hour north in the mountains, it completely RULES to live here.....I've been co-producing a singer-songwriter's CD -After much work and fussing etc. Christian Anthony's new CD will be out shortly. I have become VERY involved in my local politics so I've put my money where my mouth is...ya know...think globally, act locally.

You may have heard of a band called "The Stills" and wondered what the heck is up with that? We've worked something out and we're all fine - here's their site if you're curious - The Stills.

I'm always saying I'm gonna do an acoustic CD, and I'm now gonna start actually doing it, and I'm also scoring an INDIE film these days.

I plan to get out on the road with the new acoustic cd - I don't know exactly when that will be because life keeps changing all my best laid plans, but that's what fun about it eh?

More later...but I'm STILL out here.......

12/13/02 - STILL has been featured on imesh.com as music that people should have a listen to, and in the last week we have had almost 3000 downloads of the sample songs, mostly My Ecstasy, but also many of the others. Since this is the way the world is going, I tend to see this as a good thing, and I hope that it will be.

I also have a new movie from the last Band Show on the Look page - check it out!

11/13/02 - Lots more in the Road Diary....

11/6/02 - It's the end of the world as we know it, I don't feel fine....

11/3/02

Again - lots of new stuff in the Road Diary.

10/21/02

Lots of new stuff in the Road Diary.

10/15/02

Heh, I guess I work on some sections of this site more than others eh? What a lamer..

So I'm about to get out on the road again tomorrow, and I have to ask - "What the hell is wrong with me?". I must be crazy to keep doing these hella-long trips, but as soon as I start booking them, they grow into these month long trips that I can't seem to control....look at this road map of the trip...app. 3869 miles - oof!

October Trip Map

16 or 17 shows in about 25 days or so.....yep....I'm an idiot. Especially that bit in November in IDAHO AND UTAH!!! Yeh we know I'm not a huge fan of heat, but maybe I should try to stay above ZERO DEGREES?!?!?! But hey, I'm from Alaska, I'd rather be cold than hot......though that pool party in Salt Lake City is gonna be a little weird....

I don't know why I think this is so cool, but this Internet web station that I have been yapping about has added the song "I don't mind" from my 2nd CD of the same name to their playlist, (which it took like a century to rotate up to be played) and some people really liked it and said so on their message boards for the song, I'm stoked about this and I'll tell you why......

This station is really cool. It's that simple. The guy doesn't play stuff that's not good, and that's it as far is he is concerned. So when he decided to play some stuff of mine, I'm thinking that's pretty cool. I don't care much about certifications, I just dig it when people who's opinion I respect like my stuff. Ok....yay me...but it's cool.

So are you gonna come by somewhere and say hello or what? If not, I'll be doing my damndest to update the road diary often from the road, so keep up with the trip that way if you can't quite make it by.

By the way, sorry about that show in Las Vegas, you should have seen my driveway. It looked like I had just received my "Build Your Own Car" kit from Radio Shack......I never wanted to know this much about the vehicles I drive.......

Did I mention that I'll be playing some new songs that will likely be on my new CD's? I'm kinda liking 'em too.

Ok, make it by if you can - here's the schedule - cya soon!!

7/19/02

Yes!! I'm still breathing.....

New here? Wanna hear something cool right off the bat? Here's a full mp3 of one of my songs to start you off while you look about the site and discover the riches contained herein....

So I've been doing a lot lately, mostly upgrading my studio for my new CD projects...which are: an acoustic CD that will be just like a live solo show except that I'll have a few extra sounds going on as well. Mostly like accordion and some slide acoustic sounds, maybe a little percussion....and bass....and a gospel choir and sound effects and loops and girls with lowcut shirts....and....and....

No, it'll be acoustic with just a coupla extra spices added for flavor.

Then I'm gona make another CD of new songs, but I feel like it's gonna be very jumpy and poppish and maybe even (perish the thought) sorta upbeat and catchy. Not because I think it's good business (tho' it is) but because that's kinda how I feel these days. Which is inexplicable given the present world political situation.......maybe it's just that I'm arrogantly pleased to have been so right about all these developments, though I think I'd rather been wrong....

Gonna be running around some parts of the country again come fall, don't know details yet, but be sure I will avoid playing places that are in ROAST mode, ever try sleeping in a van in the summer in Phoenix? Truly difficult......but people who have been asking about when I'm going to head towards Texas and New Mexico and Colorado will be pleased I think. Utah too...and I'm trying to figure out how I can get the band to Alaska without pimping myself out in West Hollywood for a bit....

Enough for now, how are you doing?

5/21/02

Welcome to the new website!!

I hope you like what we've got going here, and that you find it easier to use, better looking, and that it contains more info and extras than the last time you saw it! It really needed a major overhaul - it was getting quite unwieldy and a little rundown. The site was great when I made it but it has not kept up with the changes in STILL, so it was time for a revamp......It took me awhile to get this thing ready, but I'm very pleased with it and I hope you will be as well.....

Here are some of the major changes...

  • A much simplified navigation system, or put better, a whole lot of new info a lot better organized, in addition to a reorganization of all the information that was here before. Everything on the site is closer to the top level, and most of it can be reached from the menu above.
  • A new Message Board system - actually not that new, but it was a little hard to find before this redesign. The new message board is now home to most if not all of the political commentary that I'm always going on about, as well as the information about what's going on in the music industry. The difference is that now you can respond to it, as well as add your own commentary. I hope this area will become much more lively as you check into it, it is where I do most of my day to day changes on the site.
  • The site now reflects what has become pretty much a reality - that STILL is basically just me now. I had always hoped that it would be a band in the traditional sense of it, but I was never able to make that vision of it work in the musical environment of Los Angeles with all the distractions it provides. Now that I have fully committed to STILL being a solo effort with help from other musicians when I need them, the site has moved on to recognizing that fact as well.
  • There is quite a bit of information related to the specifics of my equipment and how I use it, not only on the live solo shows but also in regards to recording and full band shows. I'm always surprised by the level of interest in that, but I guess I shouldn't be, I'm a total gear geek too.
  • There will shortly be a non-mandatory registering system that will keep track of your preferences on the site, i.e. if you have seen an e-mail list sign-up box (!) it will know that and not bother you anymore with it, if you do or do not own one or both of the CD's, whether or not you prefer to get notices from me through the mail or e-mail, if you want to receive geographically specific info or everything that goes out to keep tabs on me (heh)...etc. etc....in other words, hopefully I can make the site be as easy and fun to use as possible for you.
  • ALL INFORMATION IS STILL IN THE STRICTEST CONFIDENCE!! I will NEVER be selling it or giving it to anyone else, so please know that all information is for STILL purposes only - and that will never change. Really. The STILL contact list is quite extensive so I have had a lot of of people try to convince me to send stuff to you for something other than STILL, but I feel that your info was given to me with the understanding that it is for STILL use only, and I intend to honor that trust.
  • Lastly, there is a ton of new pictures and video etc, with much more to come. I'm serious about this stuff dammit! and I want to make it as cool for you as I can...heehee....

Have fun with it, please let me know what you think on the boards or by e-mail, I'd like to hear any suggestions you have for improvement.
